Mount Royal: Head up to the lookout for one of the best views of the city. It’s especially nice around sunset.
Mile End & the Plateau: Great for wandering; colorful houses, great cafés, independent shops, and plenty of excellent food.
Jean-Talon Market: A great place to experience Montréal’s food culture, with local produce, cheeses, pastries, and Québec specialties.
Lachine Canal: A pretty place for a walk or bike ride.
Montréal Museum of Fine Arts: Worth a visit for its impressive collection and beautiful galleries.
Little Italy: A fun neighbourhood to explore, particularly if you combine it with a visit to Jean-Talon Market.
Parc Jean-Drapeau: Across the river—walking trails, open space, and great views back toward Montréal.
